Bots?

I was wondering ….

I pop onto the forum now and again.

I’m shocked at all the views my posts and in fact all forum posts get.

Does anyone know … are bots making the view counts?

How about AI ? Is AI reading everything that is the internet making view counts go up?

The links in my posts are rarely clicked on so I know it’s not actual people clicking in.
Sad but true. But still …. I’m curious if anyone knows about the workings of the internet that makes views for no reason on an obscure gaming forum.

Either bots are running around or someone is getting rich off OHMY memorabilia.

Some of the forums are not private, visible to the outside world, for example server info and general chat.

back when I did the 1st ID we would get millions of hits, because the folks in the real first ID were hitting it.
