Why is England in the Euro cup, when, as told by our English members, they are not a part of Europe?

Sounds strange
Isn’t Europe and the EU two different things?
England is a part of the UK, which is a European nation and I believe is no longer in the EU.
England is one of four countries, along with Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, that make up the sovereign nation of the UK
Is someone being a nutter. That’s what they say in England.
